Press Progress! I’m finally getting to the point where I can put some undercoat on parts of the press. It’s really nice to finally get to the point where I can see the parts clean and nice looking. After a few more coats of this anti-rust undercoat i’m gonna paint it a nice dark green that works nice with all the highly polished brass parts.

I’m finally getting to the point where I can put some undercoat on parts of the press. It’s really nice to finally get to the point where I can see the parts clean and nice looking. After a few more coats of this anti-rust undercoat i’m gonna paint it a nice dark green that works nice with all the highly polished brass parts.

Book Press update Its currently in separate pieces on the garage floor. I’ve managed to get most of the rust off, but the problem now is trying to get the hundred year old enamel off, its like rock. It took 4 days to get the screw loose, it was completely seized, it took a mallet, blowtorch and a load of WD40.
